Flash floods have killed at least 66 people and destroyed hundreds of houses in Afghanistan.

Hundreds of livestock have also been killed by the flooding, caused by torrential rain in northern and western Afghanistan.

The three worst-hit provinces, in Badghis 23 people have died , in Ghor 21 people drowned and another 22 have died in the Herat province.

As tough as we have it, one really has to feel for the people of Afghanistan. If they are not facing death by war they are facing death by natural disaster.

Lowest calorific intake per capita globally. They had a nasty earthquake last month too. Tough people.
