Until 'business interests' begin to back them, far-right groups are little more than pantomime or minor irritation on the body politic. The Nazis would still be marching up and down in their silly costumes if the Krupps etc hadn't thought to use them to combat organised labour.

Unfortunately, Paul Sykes is a business interest, isn't he? Or at least, very wealthy. The Tories may lose a lot of their big money if business starts to reckon the Eurozone is going down the plug hole and a little push from the UK would speed that process up....thereby making certain hedge funds some serious coin in the process, of course. Sometimes I think it's just a matter of time. The seeming inability of the Germans to form a government doesn't augur well either.

Yes, I think that is on the nail. And I suppose why Ganley sparked a strong reaction - because he appeared to be such a bank roll.
