Outside, an angry mob of more than 2,000 people had gathered to vent its rage, smashing cars and chanting: "We want fairness. There is no fairness if you do not let us cheat."

The system does seem unfair but surely then the response is to protest against the system not riot for a "right to cheat". What sort of message is that for young people? And Hubei does seem to have "211" Universities. The cheaters will, of course, have an advantage in accessing these.

All I can think of is that they are trying to fight fire with fire.
