Reports online that Cameron is going to use the British Army to smash up strikers should there be strikes in the UK. The plans allege that the army was asked to prepare the army for smashing up the strikers were reported on the Morning Star

Bellicose Prime Minister David Cameron came under fire today over leaked plans to mobilise thousands of troops as strike breakers.

Mr Cameron has reportedly been acting like a Colonel Blimp and urging military chiefs to prepare for an expanded role against strikers.

Left MPs demanded that Mr Cameron must come clean over alleged secret plans for troops to replace striking prison officers, firefighters, train drivers and other key workers, revealed in the Times.

A Downing Street spokesman admitted that contingency plans existed for the army to deal with "a range of scenarios."

Will we be seeing something reminiscent of Tatcher..

The pigs and the army will get their arse handed to them if they try interfering I think. There is a lot of tension there with cuts to benefits, class marginalisation...etc...

The police battered lots of striking miners .
Pepper spray and battons will see that it's the strikers who come out worst if this scenario plays out.

Cameron can't control his own party and is unlikely to ask for civil trouble.

He needs to protect ordinary people from ps trade unions by letting them strike on own expense without affecting lives of ordinary citizens

After seeing the London riots and how disenfranchised people were I think people are showing they are disattisfied with the status quo and that is only the tip of the ice berg. If the cops are going to be heavy handed they will get back as what they dish out. The army though is a step too far, idiots who failed miserably in life with weapons? Sounds like a recipe for disaster....

Be surprised. He seems to have some dissension in the ranks but not as much as here....

The Trade Unions are the ordinary people...

It appears Cameron and Co have put ye foot in it... Trying to repeal EU limits on bankers pay while Ed Miliband finally locates his cojones and threatens the energy companies with price freezes until 2017. Meanwhile the Labour conference had voted to renationalise the railways. Not before time.

Bye bye Tories???

Osborne has told the Tory conference that there will be at least 7 more years of austerity. If that does not present Miliband with an open goal I don't know what will.

Osborne has just scrapped a 2p fuel duty rise and is freezing it till 2017, if the Torygraph is to be believed.

What could Miliband sell as an alternative?

David Cameron's speech at the Conservative party conference in Manchester on Wednesday was a clarion call for the electorate to give his party a chance to finish what they started in 2015 (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/david-cameron-conservative-conference-let-2330642) (with a few jokes added in (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/david-cameron-conservative-conference-prime-2330761) for good measure).
Or was it? Here's Fleet Street Fox with your handy translation.

Hullo conference!
Hello people who are 20% media, 36% big business, and 38% swivel-eyed loons.
This week in Manchester we’ve shown this party is on the side of hardworking people.
We’ve sat stunned while Ed Miliband swipes all the headlines.
When we came to office we faced a clear and daunting task.
We didn’t have a clue what we were doing.
Three and a half years later we are beginning to turn the corner.
Nobody else knows what we’re doing either.
I didn’t come into politics just to fix what went wrong, but to build something right.
I wasn’t any good at PR.
We in this party – we don’t dream of deficits and decimal points and dry fiscal plans…
We prefer to make that stuff up as we go along.
… our dreams are about helping people get on in life. Aspiration, opportunity – these are our words, our dreams.
I’m just like Martin Luther King, me. DON’T SHOOT.

Cameron showing some strange thoughts

With Tory plans to repeal the European Human rights act and replace it with something of their own there's an air of Thatchers revenge looming....http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-32705020,

Nice deconstruction of Cameron's Tory party conference speech here:

Very odd indeed. So....obeying the law is no guarantee the govt will leave you alone. Disgraceful comment. He has a problem with 'tolerance' - what is his alternative I wonder. He may pick a fight now like Thazza did.:(
