Aussie airline bans men from sitting next to unaccompanied minors

Virgin Australia has a policy of banning men but not women from sitting next to unaccompanied minors:

I agree that this is nuts. The whole idea of unaccompanied minors flying around the place....

I suspect the motive for this is less paranoia about paedophiles, more a roundabout way of assuring male passengers that they won't end up sitting next to some annoying child if they fly Virgin Australia. By putting it this way, they avoid accusations of sexism.
