I have a betfair account and just throw a couple of quid on the football each week. Anyone else do the same?

If I had money I probably would!
There's a bookies down the road so I generally put a few 2/3 euro accumulator bets on the football each weekend. I also don't have sky so sometimes I watch the games there too.
For instance I had Spurs to win 3-2 and United to win 2 - 1. Very close to netting over a grand on a two euro bet!
What bets do you do? Are the odds for first scorer etc better online than in the chops?
What type of bets do you do?

Like yourself Im a fan of the accumulators, love laying the odds out. I started off with twenty quid last Saturday and am looking to build to a hundred by end of the week. We should swap tips! African cup of nations has screwed up a few predictions I had. I normally lay a team or two and back the outcome but I never do the first scorer or half time scores! Odds are decent enough for first scorer, usually ten per cent better I find than in betting shops :) Any predicitons for this weekend?

same numbers every time?
My old man has done the same numbers for longer than I can remember. He has to keep doing it now as he knows his numbers.
I do the odd 10 euro quickpick in the euromillions. If I stop posting you will know I got lucky! Nobody else will know.

I had 50 quid to last me three weeks of Jan two years ago.
Remembered I had a Millionaire Raffle ticket.
With the Lotto I generally forget to check the results and the ticket gets lost.
But the raffle tix cost 20 and was sold in a card.
So was put in a drawer.
Out it came.
And out I strolled through the snow.
There was a zapper in the store.
Zap.
"Winner"
Being a man of logic and being an entrant in the millionaire raffle and being "winner" I presumed I had one a million.
I was "in Tehran" when a figure appeared.
Disappointed.
A grand!
Pits.
I was unhappy.
Stuck it in again.
Is that a grand?
Count the zeroes.
Hang on.
That's more than a grand.
Perhaps you should stop acting like a madman in the shop.
But that's 10,000.
OK I'm not in Iran.
I'm not a millionaire.
But I got 10,000.
It was 6.45.
And off I went sloshing through the snow, brimming with zeal like the patriot responding to his country's call.
Made it to the GPO.
Old geezer behind the counter takes the tic and a tirade.
Is gone for an eternity.
Comes back.
"Do you know what son?"
"What?"
"It's great to see a fella stuck for a few bob............................................... .wining a few bob"
"Take one of them for yourself" says the big fella here as ten grand is counted out in crisp 50s.
And off kevbar went into the January night.
Wedge in pocket.
Grin on face.
Whistling in the wind.
Most unusually terms and conditions were applied.
I waved goodbye to a hole.
And refused a date with disaster.
Life, however, refused an encore.
But threw a tease of a scratch card 50.
Horses?
Don't run in the same circles.
The bookies is alien terrain to me.
(For those with a good memory, forgive the repetition...I think the event got a mention here already)

I bets on horses mainly. As a football fan and also a kop fan as well, i don't do bets on soccer. It's tad dangerous and bit addictive. I steer away from it I do the lottery on and off basis.

Oh yeah when his horses aren't winning, then put a bet on his horse with very good odds.
I did once with Martin Pipe's horse with a 50/1. Alas oh god, i didn't think of putting 50 quid just 2 quid as that was my regret.

Right well Im up to 82 Euros odd. I spread my bets on a lot games tonight, two euro on games with good odds . I backed about twenty games and made fifteen euros roughly. So have twenty games backed again. Faltered a bit this afternoon.
I dabbled in the casino. I lose money as quick as I win it, going to avoid it!

Tony G. rocks Phil Hellmut one more time. :)
What do you poker players think of the ethics of what Tony G. does here? Hellmut claims it is bad etiquette but I think I'm inclined to Tony G.'s argument that there is no such thing at the poker table and that he is not obliged to be truthful about something Hellmut has failed to notice.

I don't know anything about racing but this sounds like a character:
On Sunday veteran trainer Peter Casey grabbed his first Grade One success after Flemenstar won the Arkle Novice Chase at Leopardstown by 19 lengths. Mr Casey was interviewed live on RTÉ television afterwards and stunned presenter Tracy Piggott: "It’s unreal, I can’t believe it. I’ll have ******* sex tonight."
The incident became an instant internet sensation and got over 130,000 hits on YouTube by last night. In addition, it has been trending on Twitter.
"The phone hasn’t stopped ringing all morning. I know nothing about Facebook, or facetube or anything. All I know about is the tube of a ******* motor car. I don’t know nothing about the internet. All I know about the net is you put the ball in the net.
"I don’t know what YouTube is to tell you the truth."
Mr Casey refused to reveal his exact age, stating: "I’m over 70. I’m over 72 or 73. I’m still very active."

WHO'S HE GETTING ON TONIGHT:D:p:)
I gave up playing poker a long time ago, saw how much trouble it can cause ,only gamble on the lotto now. But I have been told by people employed in the "on line" industry that the best way to win is to stay sober and go onto an Irish online table in the wee hours of Saturday or Sunday. If you can play and are dry you might clean up. I thought about coming out of retirement and putting that to the test but my better instincts prevailed. I agree with Paisley on one thing, cards are the devils bible. But if any of you so-and-so's take this tip and make a killing I want a cut!!:D

Is there such a thing?
Yea, I asked that and was told that yes, there are. I know nothing about online gambling, only what I was told by my contacts in this company. They also got in trouble, you may recall with the US government recently. Something about tax I think. I am told you can go on an Irish only table. Or you can avoid the sharks, if you know what you are doing.
