Main government persons’ private life always interests the public. The mistresses of such persons are not always in the shadow. Sometimes they influence over the fortunes of nations, even more then the first ladies can.
As known, men rule the world. But who does rule the men? Their wives and mistresses, of course. Forsooth, the influence of mistresses is very high, because man rules at daytime, but woman rules at night. This rule of mistress and wife retains through the centuries, it is human nature and it can not be helped. The women use their influence over the men in different ways. Some of them tried to do good deeds, and others acted only for their personal financial interests.
There are a lot of stories about adventures of heads of the states. People know about current adulteries of Fransua Mitteran, Bill Clinton, Michail Saakashvilly, Vladimir Putin, Silvio Berluskoni and others. But, only closed people know that Islam Karimov, the Uzbek president is also a connoisseur of woman’s breasts. He had a lot of women, especially in the period when he ruled the Gosplan (State Planning Committee) and when he was a party leader in Kashkadarya region. Karimov did not follow asceticism in private life even when he became a President. Zelimkhan Haydarov, the administrator, knows it very well. He dealt with piquant requests of many Uzbek heads of state. This is only reason of holding him at his current position.
Nowadays, Karimov has steadied down and is not active. But, he continues to keep up his private life in tonus (he takes North Korean stimulating medicine) in order to feel himself as real “alpha meal”. The Uzbek leader’s present favourite is..... Uzbeks have a proverb: “losing husband is losing the life”.
.....She has incontestable privilege in this suspect. She knows her husband’s strengths and weaknesses very well. She also knows Islam Karimov’s favourite dishes, which ties he likes to wear and what color of trunks he prefers. As you know all these can influence not only the family, but public state as well.

I want that on my CV- 'he was a connoiseur of women's breasts'. An interesting thread starter though- and on an angle I can't recall seeing before. We speak of influence on politicians in terms of money and cronyism but from my own reading of history and historical figures the most obvious influences can sometimes be overlooked.

I know for a fact that Saudi princes ran pretty much a hareem of women based in a large apartment complex not far from the Ritz in London for years. It was basically a high level brothel for the princes and male cousins of the Saudi royal family and staffed almost primarily by European girls.

Under any other circumstances it would have been a reminder of the days when Piccadilly was a red light area and brothels for the mandarins of Whitehall and the clubs of St James were run fairly openly and ignored by the police.

It is difficult to read biographies of Gladstone for example without wondering about his persistent attempts to counsel and mentor various 'fallen women' of the Victorian era- Gladstone himself when holding high political office and power could be found strolling Piccadilly in an effort to rescue such women. I recall one account where he spent a few hours closeted alone with a lady of the trade mentioned in one biography.

The end of the Soviet era brought various newspaper articles of the high lifestyle of wives, girlfriends of the politburo.

In the modern era Margaret Thatcher was notoriously susceptible to the male chancers often letting them off indiscretions that would have finished many an earlier Minister- Clarke, Parkinson, Archer et al.

John Major, the greyest of grey conservative men had a surprisingly interesting sideline in affairs with Edwina Currie being the one that emerged into the light via her biography- I myself recall that when he was in power there was something of a kerfuffle (when Downing Street was being refurbished and he was staying at a government apartment at Admiralty Arch) concerning himself and one of the Downing Street staff. Heavily rumoured to have been something of a swordsman on the quiet as they saying goes around Westminster and was whispered across tables at the Gay Hussar.

Sadly, I have had to mod the OP extensively. I would not look forward to the a libel case in Uzbekistan.
