Irish Rail have signed up to be the new sponsors for the North Dublin Schoolboy and Girls League -- the second biggest league in Europe.
As reported in today's Evening Herald, the deal was agreed yesterday and Tony Gains, the secretary of the NDSL said, "... this injection will be a huge help in fostering the game for our future generations of young players."

Just more proof that the anti public sector bias is complete nonsense. State companies are capable of rational decisions. The nonsense of privitization says we should privatize our public services because they dont make profits. Their job is to service society and the needs of the economy, not make money. Projects like this wont exist if the Rail system is privitized. Michael O leary doesnt care about kids playing soccer.

I'd give them two cheers for getting the Dart back to us 3 days ahead of their emergency repairs schedule as originally quoted. Mind you, it would have been nice if they'd re-enforced the bridge before the floods....
